Within your lifetime, you will be able to leave Earth and travel to Mars, whether if it's because you want to move there, you want to visit, you want to help develop Martian cities, etc. SpaceX, the world's most innovative aerospace entity, is currently working to build its Starship system which will enable life to become multiplanetary, by establishing multiple self-sustaining cities on Mars. The SpaceX Starship vehicle is capable of lifting over 100 tons to Mars. This high weight capacity allows for large amounts of heavy cargo to be transported from Earth to Mars, including food, equipment, water, machines to generate propellant on Mars (using Sabatier Process and mining robots), and much more. With multiple Starships from SpaceX, tens of thousands of metric tons can be transported to Mars simultaneously, to build numerous self-sustaining cities on the surface of the planet (and perhaps underground).
