If humanity is spread out across the galaxy's many worlds and is actively procreating, our species will grow exponentially. Every new human being born has the potential to contribute to a significant advancement in STEM. And because there will be so many new humans on countless planets every minute, there is a much greater chance that a human will make a new, important discovery or invention. Additionally, even if none of those people—which is impossible—make a substantial advancement, humanity would still advance more quickly every day.

Effectively avoiding human extinction

A single planet species, like humanity in 2023, is extremely vulnerable. If the human race expands out far into the galaxy and occupies countless celestial bodies, our chances of extinction are essentially zero. Let's say that humanity is living across 900 planets in the galaxy. Even if 899 of those planets were to somehow be destroyed, which is virtually impossible, humanity would still exist on 1 planet, and can begin expanding again. The more planets we expand to, the less of a chance there is of humanity going extinct.

UTILIZING THE RESOURCES OF OTHER PLANETS

Asteroids contain valuable resources, such as water and precious metals, that could be used for space exploration and other purposes. Asteroid mining could help reduce our dependence on resources from Earth, provide an almost limitless supply of resources, and advance our scientific knowledge and technology. It could also support space-based industries and create new job opportunities. Overall, the ability to access the valuable resources contained within asteroids could be an important step in the expansion of human civilization into space.

BUILDING MAJOR CITIES ACROSS THE SOL. SYSTEM

Major cities which are dense (thousands of buildings, all close together, like in NYC on Earth) are beneficial in numerous ways. They provide modern & fast public transportation, a limitless amount of job opportunities, many opportunities for social interaction, and provide all of the basic necessities in life. Simply imagine if such major cities were located all across the solar system on various moons & planets, and not just Earth. It'd be amazing. An unbelievable amount of excitement, motivation, inspiration, opportunities, and much more.
